The cloth I launched a couple of weeks is gone. Yet, there is more fine vintage cloth. Above a 4 meters worsted flannel suiting from Marling & Evans, which has been famous many years for their flannels and woollens. The particular length is a navy blue PoW with a subtle brown overcheck, a pattern, which I don’t find anywhere today. The weight is 450 grams/meter, which to me is a perfect weight for a worsted flannel suit.
Then a soft PoW tweed jacketing in brown shades of only 390 grams, which makes it a bit similar to a Shetland tweed. I like the way the PoW plaids almost form glen stripes like in a Russell tweed. The jacketing comes from Brydon Thompson on the Scottish Borders.
