English Vintage Cloth

Fine English vintage cloth for sale. Fabrics are from 1970 to start of 1980s. They have been stored properly, all are in a perfect condition. They come from mills such as Sykes (defunct) and Lowe, Donald & co. in Yorkshire. Weight ranges from about 380 to 480 grams/meter. Fabrics cost 800 DKK pr. meter ex. VAT and shipping (from Denmark). Depending on your body size you will need 3.20 to 3.50 m for a 2-piece suit and 3.80 to 4.00 meter for a 3-piece suit. Write to torsten@sartorialnotes.com to order.

1. Worsted blue stripe suiting stamped “London Shrunk”. Before the stamp was sign that the cloth had been stabilized for bespoke tailoring.
2. A sturdy worsted Prince of Wales with subtle red double stripes and dark yellow overchecks.
3. “Fanfare”, a hopsack weave twist worsted with light blue and red stripes.
4. A sturdy charcoal broken twill worsted with a red stripe.
5. A bottle green twist with blue and white pinstripes.
6. A green glenplaid with turquis blue plaids.
7. A sage coloured hopsack weave for a blazer.
8. A mottled grey-blue Prince of Wales with blue plaids.
9. A strong mottled blue worsted cloth with red stripes.
10. A worsted blue herringbone in lanes and with subtle red and orange stripes.
11. A blue suiting with red and white pinstripes.
12. An unsual crepe weave in a mid-grey shade.
13. A greyish worsted with small light blue and yellow dots.
