Black and brown shoes inhabited my shoe racks. Something new had to happen. Red shoes were the choice. I sent Italian leather to my shoemaker in Warsaw, and, as always, he made me a pair well-fitting of shoes, which were a very red pair of shoes too.
I expected that though, and I had a plan: black shoe wax. I new it would change the colour significantly but I wasn’t exactly sure of the result. Here it is, a much more subtle colour, although you still have that dandy touch, which red tends to produce.

Beautiful pair of shoes, congrats! However, I prefer the before the before colouring version. I know colour schemes can be deceiving in a photograph, but I can’t understand why you would want to change the colour to something that resembles a classic dark brown that much, when you set out to commision something different than the browns and blacks of your wardrobe?
Nevertheless, they look great. May I ask who makes your shoes in Warsaw?

Maker is Tadeusz Januszkiewicz. In regards to colour shade I’m going to experiment a little. It is only wax, so I can restore a more red shade, if I feel like that.
