It is not that simple probably but it makes sense, when you hear that Hedi Slimane favoured a narrow and tight cut. That is the cut on street today as well.
Young men are better fit for it usually. You need a slender build to have a chance to pull it off. These guys in Pitti Uomo are doing well.

These days it’s good to see at some guys wearing suits and ties. As someone who likes to lift weights, I wouldn’t like to be so skinny that this “look” requires. I am 6,1 and even my ideal weight is over 200. I saw some pictures online a couple of months ago showing Ralph Lauren English style country wear and the tight look is especially off when it involves tweed etc. Because so many men dress like slobs these days, my attitude is “at least they’re wearing suits and ties”.
