Vintage jacketings from Ouaregna Ghione
One can still find a small mill, which focuses on producing excellent cloth only. Quarenga Ghione, a Biella mill, founded in 1962, is one of them, and it has woven these fine pieces of fabric in the 1980s. The navy blue and blue houndstooth jacketing with a touch of sage green has a 85 % wool and 15 % cashmere composition, which brings a soft hand to it. Although it has a soft feel, it is not as loose in the weave as a shetland tweed or harris tweed. Weight is 440 grams/meter.
